Terminal 3 at London's Heathrow Airport was transformed tonight as it was invaded by Kili climbers in predominantly orange Tigers T-shirts! With a definite sense of excitement in the air, climbers from the US, Belgium, Switzerland and the UK congregated in the departure lounge of the airport, greeted each other like long lost friends, met those who could not come to the Briefing Day/Training week-end, shared stories of last-minute-packing-agony and about their training and fundraising endeavours and posed together for a last photo before setting off on their big adventure!

We were also thinking of all those who are joining the team in Addis Ababa or Tanzania: John and Nathan, who have spent the last few months in Tanzania and Uganda doing fantastic work for different projects out there, and exploring East Africa, and Paula and Angela.
As we watched them disappear into the departure lounge, the hall outside emptied and left us feeling uplifted and touched at the thought of the amazing Challenge they have agreed to undertake for Tigers--- and impatient to hear further news from how they get on on their trip.
So, watch this space -- and three cheers for our Kili climbers!
