Tigers Club Project

sporting/outdoor challenges

CALLING ALL RETRAK/TIGERS SUPPORTERS IN BELGIUM!

This coming week-end, why not participate in an exciting opportunity to promote the work of RETRAK in Brussels???

Wezembeek Wanderers is a popular international football (soccer!) club for boys and girls between the ages of 6 and 14, and this Saturday 18th June they are holding their Annual Tournament at the BSB Elephant Playing Fields. (Behind the Elephant, opposite the African Museum, Tervuren)
This will be a large event with about 150 children, their parents, coaches etc. There will be matches, a barbeque lunch, Medals and Prizegiving, and a Parents match.

We are delighted that the Club has chosen to support RETRAK/Tigers Club Project through this event, as they feel that the football connection, and the age of the children makes an excellent match.

All parents have been sent information about the Tigers Club Project, and they are making a collection of used boots and kits to send to Kampala. All profits from the Barbeque lunch will be donated.

We will be manning an information stall there all day with RETRAK and Tigers leaflets, some competitions etc, and we will be able to say a few word of thanks at the Medal Ceremony.

Simon Basoga has sent a message of best wishes to the Wezembeek Wanderers from Kampala, and we hope that the teams will be able to exchange photographs.

Please do come along to this fun family event!
There will be a paying Barbeque Lunch available at 12.30

Other timings:
First game 10am
BBQ 12.30
Last Game 1.30pm
Prizes& Medals 2.30pm
Parents Game 3.00pm
End 4.00pm

do you want to run, climb or walk so that the tigers boys can have a better future?

Each year, thousands of volunteers take to the streets, hills or lakes of the UK and beyond to raise money for charities of their choice -- and Tigers wants to have you on board to do the same for us!!!

Whether you have a place on a marathon, are considering the 10k London run in 2005, or would even like to spend a holiday doing something worthwhile, why not get in touch with us?

ON THE PATHS OF THE ISRAELITES...

...and if Africa is not for you, do you fancy something completely different? Then how about participating in our Sinai desert challenge in spring 2006 and sharing the views that the Israelites saw as they made their way to the Promised Land. For more information, click here

This year, 30 enthusiasts climbed Africa’s highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro, to raise money for Tigers—and thanks to their help, we are looking forward to receiving thousands of pounds which we will use to enable street children to realise their potential and discover their worth.
Do you want to be part of such a fantastic team of people? Here is what is on offer…….

This year’s climbers have "been and gone" but Kilimanjaro is still there!
Do you fancy
climbing Africa’s highest mountain in 2005 and finding out for yourself whether the earth is REALLY curved? - while watching the sun rise above Africa?

There are places available on this year’s Challenge, which will take place from July 22nd-31st.

For more information on this Challenge, please take a look at our Kili 2004 diary and/or contact us for further information.
