2. How do girls and women benefit from the work of the Tigers Club Project?

Girls and women
Although the Tigers Club Project does not work directly with girls, many girls and women in particular benefit indirectly from its activities. Some examples include:

  • Girls who approach the Tigers Club Project for help are referred to other organisations and can then benefit from their services.

  • Girls benefiting from the interventions of other NGOs and organisations to which the Tigers Club Project gives technical and financial assistance.

  • The foster mothers on the Foster Care Scheme. Many of them have lost their families to HIV/AIDS and immensely value the opportunity of caring for a child again.

  • The female siblings and the mothers/step mothers/foster mothers of homeless children who are resettled and rehabilitated by the Tigers Club project, since income generation support given to the family will improve their quality of life as well.
