Towards a world where childhood is no longer a luxury...
The Tigers Club Project
The Tigers Club Project, which has its roots in the Tigers Football Club set up in 1994, was established as a wider social development programme in 1997. It has contact with more than a thousand abandoned and homeless children, the majority living day and night on the streets of Kampala.
Our core values
Our ethos and philosophy are underpinned by our core values and our belief in :
- The intrinsic value and potential of every child
- The need for a strong emphasis on relationship-building and trust at all levels of the project
- The God-given responsibility of adults for the welfare, care and protection of children
- The calling of every adult to ensure that children fulfil their potential and develop a strong sense of self-worth
- The family as the best environment for a child to grow and develop
- The value of culture and heritage
- Personal, family, community and social development based on empowerment and self-determination
- Our calling to stand against oppression and injustice.
